African dance
Tomorrow in dance our new unit in dance starts, African dance. I remember in 6th grade when I was in dance and we had to do this unit. African dance has lots of rhythm and involves jumps and spins. I wonder how hard the dances will be since we are doing this unit for a longer period of time. I hope this unit will be performed at the dance show at the end of the year.

Winter Arts Festival
The Winter Arts Festival was a HUGE success! While we were dancing you felt the emotion and power of the dance. To me we had the best performance of the night. I'm not a fan of the song but the actual dance itself was still amazing. All in all, the Winter Arts Festival was a success and I can't wait to do another performance for the school.
Alvin Ailey
We are learning about one of the greatest choreographers ever in dance class, Alvin Ailey. He choreographed a dance called Revaluations. The part that we are learning about in class is called wade in the water. It is about how a river in the southern part of the United States help African-Americans. I think it is a deep dance that I enjoy learning.
